How fit do I have to be for a trek ?
You need not have any special fitness level but you should be able to walk for 5 to 6 hours on moderate trails . Practicing jogging , swimming or tread mill excercises about one or two months before your trek may help you enough.

Is previous trekking experience required?
If you are physically fit and you have positive atttitude for walking tours, previous trekking experience is not required.Hoever we recommend that you practice jogging , swimming or walking excercises before joining a trek, specially a longer one.

Is it possible for the old people to trek in the Himalayas ?
It is the fitness that matters not the age.Every year we have pensioners' groups who seem to enjoy the treks more thanyounger folks.Of course old age is old age but people of moderate fitness can easily complete our treks. Also it matters which trek they want to do. Not all the treks have same difficulty grade. For older people we recommend milder treks, we have a different, more relaxing itinerary with shorter walking hours for them.We send extra staffs for their care.

Is it possible to trek with the kids ?
With kids over six years it is ok . We send extra porter to carry your kids if they get tired. For a family trek with kids we have lots of soft and scenic hikes which you can enjoy with your family.

What happens if I get sick while on the mountains ?
Sprains , muscle aches or slight cases of diarrhoea are the usual things and this is not to be taken seriously. We bring appropriate mdical kit and our guides will take care of you for these minor problems. But, if you fall sick or if you get a serious altitude sickness, our guide will inform us and we will send a helicopter for emergency evacuation to Kathmandu. You are recommended to buy a travel insurance that covers a helicopter rescue from the mountains.

Who pays for the helicopter rescue or the treatments at the hospital ?
You are supposed to pay for this should there arise any such situation. The trip cost does not cover this. Make sure your travel insurance covers such expenses.

Can I pay with credit cards?
Yes we accept credit cards and travellers cheques as well. Visa and master cards are more widely accepted than other credit cards in Nepal. However we prefer cash money over credit cards and travellers cheques, the reason is, with some banks it takes time for the money to be deposited on our account and hence less convenient for us.

How many extra days should I allow in case of flight cancellations on the mountain airstrips ?
We recommend that you keep two extra days or minimum one day if your trek involves remote airstrips like Jomsom, Lukla, Dolpo, Simikot or Taplejung.Doing this , you avoid missing your flight back home.

Is it possible to hire equipments in Kathmandu ?
There are numerous shops in Kathmandu selling trekking gears where you can hire these gears . For shorter treks , you can hire or buy everything in Kathmandu at reasonnable price. However we recommend you to bring the basics like good down jacket, hiking boot, trainer and fleece jacket and quality sleeping bags from your home country for longer treks involving high altitude. For high altitude treks the local makes are not very reliable.

Is it possible to call home while on the trek?
Communication facilities are increasing in many trekking trails. On popular trails you can call home from many different places.

Do you have insurance for your trekking staffs? Do they have proper clothings ?
Our company has proper insurance for each and every guide, porter and field staffs and we make sure all of them have proper clothings. It is our care for our staffs which makes us sure that they render you good service during difficult hours in the trek.

What about the drinking water on the trek?
We request all our clients not to use bottled water in the mountains. The plastic bottles are major source of pollution in the mountains. There is no facility of recycling these bottles in Nepal. You can bring a water bottle of your own and purify the water with iodine or your choice of purifier.

Is it possible to trek during the monsoon?
Yes, some treks are best done in monsoon. These are the treks that lie in Himalayan rain shadow zones. At this time of year, there is very little rainfall on these areas, it is warmer and the barren alpine floor turn into green carpet of grasses and alpine flowers bloom in profusion. The Upper mustang trek, Dolpo trek can be done during monsoon. Every summer we organise excellent trek to Langtang valley to watch primula, poppies and other wildflowers in bloom.

Who will pick me up at the Kathmandu airport ?
One of our staffs will pick you up from the airport . He will be displaying a play card bearing our company name and your name right outside of the main exit gate of the terminal hall. He will welcome you and take you to the hotel where he will help you with the checking in procedures.

Who pays for the extra days if we get stuck in the mountains due to flight cancellations ?

You are supposed to pay for any extra expenses arising due to reasons beyond our control.

Where do I keep my luggage when I go to the trek ?
Almost all the hotels will keep it for you. If the hotels will not keep we have store rooms to keep it for you.

How do you process my booking ?
We require a non refundable sum of USD 200 to confirm your bookings, which you can send us through bank transfer. For details click terms and conditions.
